The University of Rwanda informs prospective applicants that the online application system for receiving applications for Postgraduate Academic Programmes to be offered in three of its Colleges during the Academic year 2024 is open from 13th February 2024 to 5th March 2024. 

Applicants are requested to take note of the following important information: 

I. College Locations in 2024 

1. College of Business and Economics (CBE), based at Huye Campus, but also with PG 

academic programmes taught at Gikondo, Nyagatare and Rusizi Campuses; 

2. College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), based at Remera Campus, but also 

with PG academic programmes taught at Huye and Rwamagana Campuses; 

3. College of Science and Technology (CST), based at Nyarugenge Campus. 4. College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), based at Huye Campus 

II. Minimum entry requirements specific to each advertised programme 

The minimum entry requirements specific to each advertised programme are published on the UR website. 

III. Required documents for application 

All applicants are required to submit the following: 

1. A letter addressed to the Director of UR Centre of Postgraduate Studies that must 

include: 

(i) your program of choice; 

(ii) your full contact details 

2. Updated Curriculum Vitae 

3. A photocopy of academic transcripts and degree certificates 

4. Two reference letters from senior academic referees

IV. Selection criteria 

The selection will be done through the assessment of submitted documents. Only applicants who meet the entry requirements as indicated will be selected. 

V. Funding 

The University will not give scholarships to admitted candidates. Candidates shall apply for scholarships elsewhere or can be self-sponsored. 

VI. Application process 

1. Go to UR Website (www.ur.ac.rw ) 

2. Go to Admission, Applicant Portal, and click on (New Application) 

3. Fill out the Biographical Form and click (Save) at the end, you will get “Your Student ID Reference Number“. Please keep this ID Number as it will be your ID identification for all transactions at UR 

4. Create a PIN of 5 numeric digits, do not start with a 0 (this PIN will serve as your 

password to access your student account), leave the page, and open the link below. 5. Candidates are requested to submit all required documents by using the 

Link: https//pgfile.ur.ac.rw/pgfile/findme.php with a copy to the Postgraduate Coordinator (contacts given in the Entry requirement form)
